May 17th, 2007 - End of the Year Concert

We had a fabulous concert to finish up a wonderful year of Choir
at Canyon View Jr. High!

This is my 8th grade girls chorus (Treble Trios). Don't they all look gorgeous in the outfits they picked out! These girls worked hard but mostly had a lot of fun! We especially loved singing and dancing to our own arrangement of "Can't Hurry Love!" This was one of the highlights of our concert.

This next choir, Concert Choir, is made up of 8th and 9th grade boys and girls. This group made so much progress throughout the year and finished with a very strong performance!

This is our school's top group, Footnotes. Aren't they the best dressed Jr. High choir you've ever seen? Trust me they sound even better than they look! As a compliment to the students I was told numerous times that this choir sounded like a high school choir! This group is mostly 9th grade students who are all great musicians and even greater kids!

We finished off the night with a combined piece "There Can be Miracles When You Believe." If you ask me, it really was a miracle that I was able to make it through the year. Not only was it my first year of teaching but I was pregnant, and then had my baby with over 2 more months of school left. But we made it thanks to my wonderful husband, supportive teachers and parents, and especially my wonderful students who always pulled through for me. Thanks for a fantastic year Canyon View!
