Baker Family Reunion

We were able to go play at palisade (next to Manti) with Dave's family last week for our family reunion. We had so much fun. We rented out an old bed and breakfast type place that accommodated all of the families and that was within walking distance of the Lake. It was one big party! I would definitely say that it was a huge success. Everyone got along so well and we were able to participate in a lot of really fun activities like swimming at the Lake, golf, and geocaching. And of course we played a whole lot of fun games. Night Games, Maffia, Wacky 6, the bubblegum in the whipped cream, cheese and cracker sticking relays, and noodle fights were a few of our favorites. Jesse was 1 of 5 babies born last year so he had a lot of little friends to run around with.

Ok, let me explain some these games because they were a lot of fun.
Bubble Gum in Whipped Cream:
You put a piece of bubble gum on a plate and cover it in a huge pile of whipped cream. The objective is to find your piece of bubble gum in the whipped cream and be the first one to blow a bubble. The catch is that you can't use your hands. This one is hilarious with all ages.

Cheese and Cracker Relays:
Prepare a whole lot of crackers with a dollop cheese whiz on them. Get into teams and race one at a time to stick a cracker on somebody wearing a garbage bag who's standing a ways away.

Noodle fights:
If you need a fun, summertime activity check out this game. You fill emptied eggs with water, put the eggs in a nylon, tie the nylon on your head so that the egg sits on top, then take noodles (the floaty water toys) and try to get each other's eggs. SO FUN! Check out the video of Dave and I going at it!

I'm always amazed at Dave's family's creativity. Dave's sister Amy came up with the 1st two games, and his Brother Brian came up with the noodle fights. Thank you guys for introducing us to some great new games.

I even got to run in the Manti 4th of July 5K and was the 3rd place girl. Now before you think that's a great accomplishment, remember that this was Manti. Dave's brother Brian and our Brother in-law Trevor also ran in it. Look at the cool prizes they gave us. Can's of lemonade and mines a bag of hershey kisses from last halloween. Gotta love small towns.

Thanks to Dave's Mom's hard work we also ate really well at this reunion.
Thank you Bakers (especially Mom and Dad) for the fun family Reunion!
