Mother’s Retreat - April 7 - 9, 2011

Sometimes you just need your girls…..you know!! Some of us ward friends were able to leave the kiddos with the hubbies for a little weekend getaway down to St. George. We had a retreat up to Park City last year and decided to try to go somewhere a little warmer this time. Unfortunately it was rainy and cold the whole time….but still SO MUCH FUN!

A big thank you to Mandi Taylor for letting me use some of her pictures for this post. She's our resident photographer and she's amazing!!! So basically the pictures that look professional are her shots.

Some of us were able to take off early and do a couple short hikes down at Zion’s before heading to St. George.

While we were in St. George we stayed in this old, eclectic rental house by the temple that I decided should be called “The House of a Thousand Good Intentions.” This house was awesome!! It was a very old house that looked like it had had several different owners or one owner with multiple personalities because every room had an extremely different and very unique style of decorating.

While we were there we had some fun and very helpful classes: doing little girl’s hair, gardening, photography, making flowers and hair bows, cooking with lentils, and how to do massages and facials; taught by our ward's very own super talented and knowledgeable women.

We also toured the Brigham Young House, went to the temple, gave ourselves manis and pedis, stayed up late talking, laughing, and playing games, and……oh yeah…..ATE! There was way too much good food on this trip.

I love all these ladies and think they are all pretty incredible. I’m already looking forward to next year!
