Our “Good” Thanksgiving

This year for thanksgiving we made the treck out to Yucaipa, CA to visit Dave’s sister Julie (Good) and her family. The boys did really well on the drive there (thanks to the DVD players). We were surprised when we arrived to see that Julie was abou 25 weeks into her 3rd pregnancy. She’d been keeping it a secret from us family here in Utah. They have 2 super cute little girls, Brigitte and Whitney, and they were now excpecting their 3rd little girl.

Jesse and Bence had so much fun playing with their cousins. They’re very close in age and they don’t get to see each other all that often. This is getting ready for bed one evening.

Props to Julie and Mathew for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner! I mean look at all this goodness!

Later that evening we made it an official “Baker” thanksgiving by making turkeys. Jesse has been into the movie “How to Train Your Dragon” so he made a Dragon turkey, and because Jesse’s been into that movie, I also attempted a dragon turkey. In honor of vacationing in CA Dave’s is a Prop 8 turkey. J

Here are the Goods with their turkeys. Notice all the pink. J

After the turkey’s were made we then vote on our favorites. Here are the winners!

The next day we visited the Apple Festival going on in Yucaipa. I’m guessing it’s kind of a founders day celebration. We got to watch how they used to make apple cider and butter, sample some yummy apple foods, play with some old toys, and check out the petting zoo.

We had so much fun and were sad to have to hurry home to freezing, cold snowy weather. Thank you Mathew and Julie for letting us come visit. I hope it’s not too long before we’re back.
