St. George Trip

We took a pretty spontaneous trip down to St. George in the middle of March. We were sick of the cold and on a Saturday night Dave and I decided that we should just head south for some sun. Sunday after church….we were on our way!!

Our one necessity on this trip: A HEATED POOL!!! We spent all day long at the pool the first day enjoying the 80 degree weather. It was perfection!! There’s just something overwhelmingly joyful about feeling warmth for the first time after a long winter.

If you ever go to St. George with kids, it’s good weather, and you don’t take them to new park by the tabernacle, you really should be ashamed to call yourself a parent. This place was awesome!! We went there in the evening to let the boys ride their bikes and play a little baseball. The cool part about this park though is the splash-pad and play-river/stream that runs through the park. Our boys loved it! Well…Benson was at least happy to be playing outside. He didn’t take too well to the water. Wussy Baby. He just kept throwing a tennis ball and chasing after it. But it was fun to him and that’s what matters.

We were also able to go spend a little time in Snow Canyon. We played at the sand dunes and took a little hike over the petrified dunes. Jesse was way into climbing all over those rocks. I’m happy that so far into his life he likes to hike. No whining or complaining yet.

This was such a fun trip!! Our boys even did really well on the drives there and back. It definitely makes me want to attempt to get away more often.
