American Idol Audition
So I decided to audition for American Idol very, very, very last minute. Why? I'm still trying to figure out what I was thinking. I just kept thinking, "It's American Idol and it's only in Salt Lake. It will never be this convenient again." My brother Tommy said that he would come audition with me so off we went the day before auditions to get our arm bands. I heard there had been a huge line and was worried that we would have to wait forever, but by the time we got there we walked right up and got them. I was thinking, ok, those people who waited all night to get an armband totally wasted their time because we just walked right up. WRONG! They were smart, I was dumb because when we got there that next morning you got to audition in the order that you got your armband which meant that we had to sit inside the Energy Solutions Arena for like 9 hours and wait for our turn. Why did we wait and not just go..... I DON'T KNOW!!! If I would have known it would take that long I would have, but once we waited a couple hours we thought, well we've waited this long already we might as well stay, then it just kept taking more and more time to make it to us. When we finally got our chance we were sent away promptly (Big surprise. I really knew my only chance of getting on was dressing up like a polygamist, which I almost did). I felt so guilty afterward for wasting my day and having my family watch Jesse. The best part of the day was running into my cousin Brynn and stopping at Jimmy Johns on the way home to get a sandwich. Oh well, you live you learn I guess. Worst Ever!
