Tribute to our Orem Apartment
t
I took some pictures of our last apartment in Orem before we started packing everything up so we could remember what our little home used to look like. It was such a great apartment! I especially loved the huge Kitchen with the island and all the cupboard space. It was only a couple of blocks away from my parents house (yes, same ward) and we had a lot of fun being so close. I will never have such convenient and willing babysitters ever again.
We had awesome landlord's who let me teach voice and paino lessons from our apt/their basement. I'm so grateful they were willing to put up with that. One of the best parts of the apartment was the huge backyard where we had fun playing soccer and wiffle ball, and the little area we were able to plant a garden in. I'm so mad that I didn't take a picture of our little garden because it was amazing (if we do say so ourselves)! We had so many vegetable come out of that little teeny spot. Our one tomato plant exploded in size and probably produced over 200 tomatoes before we moved. This resulted in my learning how to can tomatoes and make salsa for the first time (thanks to the help of my mother and mother-in-law). I started feeling guilty because a lot of the veggies would go bad faster than we could eat them or find people to give them to. I'm really going to miss having a garden this year although we're going to give planter boxes on our porch a try.
So where did we move? We bought a Condo in Pleasant Grove. Yes, we're home owners! Our complex is right next to that weird "Noah's" building, so we're right off the Freeway which is really nice. We really love our new place and we're very, very grateful to those who helped us move (especially those who were helping until midnight). It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a big, open kitchen/dining room/living room area. I'll post some pictures and give some more details in another post.

Congrats on the new condo. My brother lives in those new houses behind Noahs, probably really close to you, and loves
it there. We are living in Orem off of 800 North. We'll have to get together soon.
Hi Rachel! I am so glad that you finally updated! Very exciting about the condo. I can't wait to see pictures and more of what you are up to.
