This post is about my sister Chelsea who just won the Utah 4A girls basketball state championship. It's been so fun to watch her and her team this year. You may or may not know that I also played basketball for Mountain View during the time where we were expected to win State Championships and expected to blow teams out. However, times have changed and it's been 4 years since Mountain View has had a State Championship in girls basketball and this team really had to fight hard for it, game by game, all year long. This is Chelsea's senior year so I'm especially happy that she finally got it and that it's "her" state championship that she played for and won. She plays 3 varisty sports but this is her first state championship and I'm so glad she got one before her high school career is over.
They played Springville in the Final which was intense because they had met up twice during the regular season, each team taking one of the games. The atmosphere was so much fun! We had a huge, energetic, student cheering section there to support our girls and tons of friends and family as well. But so did Springville so it was pretty electric. MV ended up pretty much blowing them out 49-32. YAY!!!
Chels played really well all through the state tournament and as a result she got a lot of pictures in the paper. I thought I'd post some a my faovrites! Way to go Bruins!

Oh my goodness, Congrats on the Baby! That is so exciting. Don't worry, all the pink is so much fun if it is a girl. But a boy would be great as well so Jesse would have a little buddy. Can't wait to find out what you are having!

Rachel! And Dave! You guys have such a cute family, I'm so glad I found your blog. It's always nice to catch up with old friends and I think blogs are a great way, especially with how busy we all seem to be these days. Congrats on the newest little Baker to be joining the family. My husband and I have a blog too, check it out if you like.
You two definitely look like sisters. Rachel, I love your hair cut! It looks really great on you! PS I hope you are having a girl. They are so fun, but that little Jesse is so cute! I'm sure you wouldn't mind having another one of him! You guys need to come over again! We loved having you!
