A little Bit of Everything....YAY for Summer!!!

Exhibit A: Our Pool's Open!!! Hooray!!

Jesse was very timid around water last year but thanks to our 1' 6" deep kiddie pool he's quickly becoming very confident. I've actually had to come to the rescue a few times already. Once to pull him out of the kiddie pool when he tried to swim like a big boy but couldn't figure out how to get back on his feet again, and twice I had to run and stop him from jumping into the deep part of the big pool. I'd say he's a little over-confident. You can bet that even though I've only got a little over a couple more months to go with this pregnancy, you're going to catch Jesse and I at our pool a lot this summer. Staying cool and comfortable now outweighs my embarrassment of being in a swimsuit pregnant.

Exhibit B: Pregnancy Pics

As you can see, baby boy #2 is definitely growing. He's an EXTREMELY active little guy. And strong! I've reacted out loud a couple times after taking a shot to the ribcage. "OUCH, Hey take it easy in there! Be nice to your mother!" We've got a little over 2 months to go. We hope that he and I stay healthy in the mean time and we can't wait to meet him!

Exhibit C: Rachel's Birthday

I had a wonderful Birthday this year! It really scared me to turn 26...you know... late 20's... I guess I've got to grow up now. But so far it hasn't been too bad. Dave treated to me to a surprise pregnancy spa package with a message, manicure and pedicure. Love him! I'd never had a message before and I think I could go for one of those about every day. We also went to eat with my family at one of my favorite places....Tucanos! Mmmm!! We celebrated that weekend with my all-time favorite, birthday fruit pizza. It looks as good as it tasted!

Exhibit D: Memorial Day Picnic/ Grandpa Koch's Birthday Party

Memorial day also happened to be my Dad's birthday this year. We celebrated with my Dad's family with a BBQ/volleyball in the park. The food was super yummy, including my Dad's traditional birthday popcorn cake. He's had popcorn cake as his birthday cake every year since he was 7 years old. What's popcorn cake you ask? It's basically a big rice krispie treat made out of unsalted popcorn and gumdrops molded in a bundt cake pan.

Here are some pics of the fam playing v-ball.

My bro Chad and sis Chelsea. Nice form Chels!

That's my Dad to the left. 52 and still has a nice spike.

We brought this little basketball hoop that my Mom and Dad have at their house to the park to keep Jesse entertained. He absolutely loves to shoot baskets on this little hoop. One day when I was teaching lessons at my Mom's, he shot baskets on this hoop for 3 hours. I got a little video of him shooting this day at the park. He's not a bad shot.

Exhibit E: Funny Jesse Pics

I'd say from this picture that Jesse needs more hangin' with the boys time. Shortly after I'd finished putting on my makeup I walked back in the bathroom to find him trying to work my eyelash curler. What can I say, the boy wants to be like his Mom? Kind of scary.

This is a pic of how we brush Jesse's teeth most of the time. We have to sit on him and pin his hands to the side. He has such a short attention span for brushing his teeth and usually wants to run off and play before we've gotten a good brushing in. He actually doesn't mind getting his teeth brushed this way. He thinks it's a funny game we play with him.

Exhibit F: Taylor Swift Concert

My little sister Chelsea and I went to the Taylor Swift concert last week. So much fun!! I thought she was so cute and had such a fun personality. I had to laugh though... a lot of her songs are about guys that broke her heart or cheated on her or whatever and she was pretty intimidating when she was singing those songs. I'm glad I didn't make her mad.

Finally Exhibit G: Chelsea Graduates!!

Chelsea graduated from Mountain View High School last week. YAY!! She had such a great high school experience and had accomplished so many things both academically, and athletically. Chelsea's super cute, and nice, and a lot of fun and as a result has lots of friends. It probably took her the rest of the afternoon to find and take pictures with all of her friends. We're so proud of her for graduating but even more so for being such a good, quality girl and such a wonderful aunt to Jesse. We look forward to seeing what new adventures come her way now.

The End. Whew!

A: I wish I had a pool to fall into right now. It is uncharacteristically HOT here and we have no air conditioning. I am literally sweating as I sit and type this.
B:You are just super cute pregnant and I wish we could get a pregnancy shot of our two bellies together!
C: I'm glad to see you are still taking pictures when you make fruit pizza!
D: We have a little BB hoop too and Jackson loves it.
E: Jackson did the exact same thing with my eyelash curler today! I told him he doesn't need it though because his eyelashes are naturally curled-no fair.
Oh and we do the same thing when brushing Jackson's teeth, except it takes both Kevin and I- one sitting on him and the other holding his head still. He makes it harder than Jesse does. Little stinkers.
F: Yay for Taylor Swift-looks like fun
G:My parents said they saw you at the graduation. Wish I could have been there!
Okay I'm done.
