Pioneer Day 2009

This year for Pioneer day we had a yummy hot dog roast in G & G Baker's backyard with some of the Baker family. They even got out the row boat so that the cousins could take some boat-rides in the pond. Fun times!

Jesse and Dave rowing the boat with Jesse's cousins Kyle and Grace.

Grace is such a wonderful cousin to Jesse! She makes my life a lot easier by playing with him and making sure he doesn't get into trouble. Jesse just adores her.

After the Hot Dog roast at the Baker's we headed back to watch Fireworks at a P.G. neighborhood's private show. Our new sister-in-law Marianne has an Aunt that lives in this neighborhood and we were lucky to get to tag along with Marianne and Matt to her aunt's to watch this incredible show. They were shooting these huge fireworks up from less than 100 yards away. It was really cool and pretty intimidating. We actually could hardly watch them because being that close the fireworks were too bright. It would have been nice to have some sunglasses. Jesse loved it and had a huge open-mouth smile going almost the whole time! He's definitely a fan a fireworks. Aren't all boys?

This video is more for our memories' sake. It's Dave and Jesse watching the fireworks go off. You can see the look of pain on their faces from some of them being too bright.
