Jesse's 3rd B-day

Jesse was actually sick with hand, foot and mouth disease the weekend before his birthday and on his birthday (Monday). But we had my family over to celebrate with presents and cupcakes anyway.

TRAINS!!!
That what his party was all about. As you can see from the above picture, it was so easy to figure out a theme that Jesse would love. He also would have loved a High School Musical party but that didn't fly with Dave. So yes, we chose his latest other obsession of trains. He was supposed to have his party the Saturday before his birthday but because he was sick (again) we posteponed it until the next Saturday.

We made personalized train cars they could walk around in then they took their train around the "tracks" (masking tape taped to the floor). We then tried to play a train game but quickly moved on to cake and ice cream, and then a couple books. The books were probably the highlight of the party!! The kids were so hyped up on sugar they giggled through the books just for the sake of giggling. So funny!!!

My Mom and Dad came to help...... thank goodness!! I needed it!! Here's Grandpa with Bence.

Thanks to all of Jesse's friends and their Mom's and Dad's for coming to celebrate with us!! Jesse had a lot of fun!!

Oh, but we're not done yet!! We brought the cake over to the Baker's the next day to celebrate as well. We were also celebrating Jesse's cousin London's birthday. Jesse and London are a year apart almost to the day and they just adore each other.

This is a video of them playing on Grandma's deck and having a blast!!

So cute! I might have to steal your idea for Jackson's 3 yr birthday. Every time in nursery Jackson lines up all the chairs and they all play trains! What is it about little boys and trains?
