Random Tidbits

What has Jesse been up to?

Wrestling with Dad
Jesse and Dave love to rough house. Honestly it's usually Dave that comes away beat up from their little wrestling matches. Jesse's fury knows no limits.

Hide-n-go-Seek
This is Jesse's favorite game lately. We sent him to hide once and walked into the room to find him in this hiding spot? Can you see him? As you can see he's still trying to grasp some of the concepts of this very complicated game.

He can do "2" with his fingers!!
We've been working on this for a while and almost thought it was hopeless, but Jesse came running into me one day holding his fingers like this. He was so excited and proud of himself! I was proud of him too. For all I can tell he was working on it on his own and finally got it.

Stitches on his Chin! Worst EVER!!!!
Jesse fell on the cement at Granpa Koch's house this last Sunday and cut his chin open. We took him over to our old Bishop's (my parents current Bishop's) who's a pediatrician to see if he needed stitches. He did and our Bishop was increadibly generous! He met us over at his office and stitched Jesse up within a matter of minutes. He had just gotten home from I'm sure a long day of Bishop duties when we showed up and I'm so grateful that he was so willing to help us out.

The actual getting the stitches part was one of the worst experiences I've had as a parent. These were Jesse's first stitches. We wrapped him up in the little body restraint thing, held his head and feet, and just sat there trying to comfort him as the pain was inflicted! He cried and cried from pain and fear and I couldn't make him understand why. Ahhhhh! I fought back the tears while he was getting the procedure done so that Jesse wouldn't be more scared, but as soon as we got back in the car I broke down (I'm sure being pregnant doesn't help). It really was so horrible! I never want that to happen again!!!! I'm going to wrap my kids in bubble wrap from now on!

Belly Pics

This was taken a couple weeks ago when I was 33 weeks. I feel like I've gotten so much bigger in just these couple weeks. I'm pretty sure I don't look like that anymore.

Clifton Kids

Dave and I were able to watch his Sister Amy's kids over-night so she could go cheer on her husband in his Triathalon in Coalville. We would totally do it again! Their kids are great! Jesse especially loved getting to play and wrestle with his cousins.

They have 5 kids. In this picture are 2 of their 3 boys (Carter and Ethan), Jesse, and one of their girls that's Jesse's age (Talia) after their primary parade. Amy and Trevor took their baby girl and Gavin was at his baseball game.

Ok, I know I'm totally immature but I couldn't help but get a kick out of this. While Dave took the older boys to park I stayed and played with the 2 littles. They had seen the older boys playing with a whoopie cushion and started playing with it themselves. The reason I started taking video was because of how much these 2 were cracking up after sitting on the whoopie cushion. Of course as soon as I start taking video it's not as funny to them anymore, but this still might get you giggling.

Um...the band aid on the chin totally reminds me of that New Years Eve when we all went ice skating and I tried to show off and copy some spin move you did....land right on my face. And yes...I still have the scar. Lesson learned... :)

oh man rach! I cant believe that you are that small at 33 weeks. I am going to post a picture of me soon just so you can see what big is! ;) I am super excited that you are getting SO close to your due date! Hope the stairs aren't totally killing you now. I know I died when I had to carry Kaleb up ours (yes, because he couldn't really walk up them yet cause he was so young) and I was 8 months pregnant with Bekah. Hang in there and keep us updated!

Oh, the stitches sound horrible. The worst part is they really can't understand why you are holding them down while someone else is hurting them. So sad. Rachel, you look awesome for being so close. Hope you are feeling well.
