Sledding at Soldier Hollow

At the end of December we were able to go sledding at Soldier Hollow with my family and extended family. If you've never had the soldier hollow experience it's basically sledding for lazy people. They have these nicely groomed, long hills up against the base of the mountain and a little track that takes you and your tube up so you don't have to walk back up the hill. You just sit back and enjoy the ride both up and down. AWESOME!

At first we took turns going down the hill and pulling Jesse around at the bottom because he was too young to go down, but the last couple times we snuck Jesse up the hill with us and he was able to go down the big hills on his own tube. Jesse is always up for something fun. He had a lot of fun the first time, but was getting pretty cold by the second run down and decided he was done when we were about halfway up the hill and rolled out of his tube. Luckily Dave was below him and scooped him up but Jesse was pretty upset about having been in the snow. There really wasn't any going back so we got down as quickly as we could with Jesse, unfortunately, protesting the whole way. Overall, though, really fun!
